Over 50 Years of Successful Scouting

Our troop has been active in the Richardson/Dallas area for over 50 years.  Troop 570 was formed February 5, 1962 and has supported hundreds of boys through the scouting program.  We currently have 40 boys registered with our troops.

As a “Boy-Run Troop,” it is the policy of Troop 570 that the programs and activities will be planned and carried out by the boys, with supervision by the adult leadership. This is the only way the scouts will learn leadership skills and to deal with the consequences of their decisions and actions. The success of their scouting experience depends largely on the effort and commitment they put into the various activities, and on the boy leaders they elect.
